Functional Setups Meow
We’ve revamped the standing platform of the FSM to accommodate more set-ups. This is the place to find out how everyone’s riding them.

Just comment below and check out what others have to say. Here are some things you might want to include…
- Mount (flush or drop-through)
- Trucks (include degree of base-plate if applicable)
- Wheels (all that have worked for you)
- Bushings
- Your weight
- Style(s) of riding

I’ve been rocking 50* Randals drop-through with 68mm checkers with soft bushings throwing huge slides, I’ve rocked some ~75mm flywheels on the same set-up.
Now i am on redrilled indy’s flushmounted, and have rocked 68mm wheels, and 70mm wheels.

My first Comet FSM setup is absolutely AMAZING for me as it is. I have the version 1 FSM with black bears, with venom bushings. (blue and red on top, yellow on bottom). And I have been riding the purple 4prez orangatangs. This setup slides like butter and doesnt get speed wobbles or wheel bite at higher speeds and tight carving.

1st off.
this board is THE SHIZZZ
im riding mine (v1) with 215 indy hybrids, 83a 70mm gravity drifters, MHS bearings.
i tried mine with g-wing chargers but the turning and sliding just werent as good for me. Also, indy hangers make the board even lower so its really nice to push. so i suggest it esp. if you wanna run big center set wheels.

flush mounted deck
i’ve run 50* 180 randals with khiro orange bushing worked real well with 70mm wheels. for wheels i’ve been using kryptos, abec 11 strikers and zigs, and purple 4prez.
now i’m running redrilled 215 indys on stock bushings. haven’t been running this setup for more then a few days but i really like how low the indys ride and it slides with very little effort. for wheels i’m using otang durians.

I’ve run my flushmount V1 with Flashbacks and Fat Frees on flipped 42* R-IIs with no problems. Nothing bigger than the Flashies since it would almost certainly have got wheelbite.

I have two, the proto and a V1 production model.
Proto(my sons))
Paris 180’s with Venom 85a barrels and Bones medium tops.
68mm Comet checkers. Set up super loose for my 8-year old, but it’s waayy fun for me as well.
Production model:
Paris 180’s with Venom 90a standard packs.
76mm Blue Kryptos, had to modify the wheel wells for he larger wheels.

I’ve got mine se tup with Original s10’s and Checkers. It’s bananas!
I will go back to Randal (with karrot barrels) and Kryptos though as this is a sweet, functional, stylish ride.
I like it with Holeys too.
I’ve modified the wheel well (it was a cinch) just to make sure 76mm wheels fit.
The FSM is the mutts nuts, the dogs bollocks, the cats pyjamas, the bees knees, the camels… err, well enough of that, it’s wicked plain and simple.

I have the V1 production model with 42degree randals dropthrough, wedged with 3 washers, with venom yellow barrels all round and lime retro freerides/comet checkers. super stable bombing neighborhood hills, and great sliding fun, nailed my toeside and switch heelside 180s on this setup

As others have stated, the FSM really is the shit. You probably thought it looked pretty rad, which is why you came here, and we’re here to tell you that it is absolutely incredible.
I’m on 50 degree 180mm Randals, 70mm Orangatang 4Presidents and a funky but rad Venom bushing setup: Green Barrels on bottom and yellow Eliminators on top. Keep it loose and you’ll be smiling from ear to ear in no time.
COMET!

FSM v1 flushmount, indy 215/oldschool venture hybrid trucks, 70mm Earthwing freeriders. Previously ran otang inheats, haven’t had any wheelbite issues and it carves like a madman. This board rocks.

I have a proto (traded with Graeme).
Currently, I have it set up with 852 bears venom 86 and 81 barrels with blue alligators.
Later today I’m going to go buy some randals and throw those on there with either lemon freerides or with the blue bennets. So may options for such an awesome deck.

Drop thru 50*Randal 180’s w/ 92 bottom/90 top barrel bushings on 84a 77mm Strikers and Biltins. No wheelbite issues just pure awesomeness. I weigh 175 and I enjoy sliding on steep terrain and drifting with this board. The concave and rocker locks my feet and makes carves and turns very responsive.

I rocked my proto on randal 42´s with freebord slashers, ew yellows
I now ride my v.1 on bear 852´s and comet 68 checkss. FUn as shittt

I really dig my V1 FSM dropthru, running 42 randal 180 in front and 50 randal 180 in back w/ 66 lime zigs. Wheelbite? What Wheelbite? Never really a problem.
There are a few Comets owned in our crew. We love and skate them daily.
ThanX Comet!!

The best set up for an FSM is flushmount with indy 215’s and your choice of unreasonably soft barrel bushings and the most slippery wheel you can find. I have durians on mine with blue khiro barrels and I have a hard time carving sometime because it’s so squirrely and slippery. It’s great! Check out the new fsm video too!

I have a V1 FSM spaghetti monster as a drop through and i have ridden it with a couple of different set ups for sliding i ride it with indy 215s dropped through super loose with lime reflex bushings and for wheels i have cored two sets of lemon freerides and it still feels like a phenomenal setup. I have also used the FSM for downhill as i rode it at the paskapoo freeride and at norquay i was riding it dropped through with a 52 degree grizzly in the front and a 40 degree in the back and it felt really solid even up to 85km/h! Im 155 pounds btw.

I am riding the FSM Mini Flushmount with Gullwing Sidewinders and Abec 11 Gumballs. The thing is a carving/sliding machine.
