TMMR Outlaw

Friday, August 21st, 2009

The first annual Tussey Mountain Marathon outlaw was held on August 8, just north of State College, Pennsylvania.

Anthony Flis racing Justin

There was a fair bit of stress leading up to it because I was hosting an event myself that night so it meant driving three hours north, racing, driving three hours south and racing some more. On top of that I hadn’t skated much in three weeks because of a pretty bad ankle sprain. I was really stoked though because it had been a month or more since the last east coast race (in the US) and there is nothing better than getting together with good friends and skating. I got a call from a number that seemed familiar the night before and to my surprise it was none other than Rob Mckendry III. I knew he was moving this way but it was a surp (more…)

The Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

I landed in Calgary on Thursday afternoon and was stoked right when I got off the plane. After being on a one year hiatus, The Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo was back in full swing. I had heard nothing but good things about this race. I arrived at the race hill Friday morning, checked in, and was ready to FREERIDE!

The course was sick! There were 4 rights, and 3 lefts, with fast straight aways and the occasional speed bump. Not to mention the killer chairlift that took you right to the top.

NEW - Loki drop OR FLUSH!

Loki Drop Loki Flush

The Loki now comes in both drop-through and flush mounts! If you’re wondering which flavor tastes best, it all comes down to your personal prefs. The drop-through deck will ride a half inch closer to the ground than the flush, which in turn creates subtly different rides. You should expect the flush to be a little grippier, and the drop a little driftier. Naturally, the flush will give you a cleaner grip across the nose and tail and the drop might be a little easier to push over long distances. Either way, you’ll love it. Choose your flavor and ride on.
