Pepsi is holding a $50K grant contest.  Comet’s answer: a Cultural program for youth through Skateboarding, art, and mentorship .  All votes have to be in by February 28th.

If you’re reading this by February 28th, help us out
by voting for us here!

Our proposal’s got some history going back to the summer of 2004, when good friend K-Dub tracked us down to collaborate on some skateboards with his high school art class. (more…)

Keith’s summer at Comet

Monday, September 14th, 2009

This summer I travelled to North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Montreal, each place at least once, some places I visited two or three times. My week consisted of, getting to work, working, every now and then going “product testing,” getting back from work, and then I would either be skating, cliff-jumping, playing ultimate, or just lounging around my apartment catching up on sleep.

To Kessler…

Andy Kessler

Andy’s life exemplified that adage “you fall down, you get back up again.” Everyone is dealt a different hand of cards and your legacy is what you make of it. Andy turned his life around. He transformed the negativity that surrounded his rocky past into unyielding optimism and became a catalyst for positive change for youth, community, and skateboarding. His perspective on life was a perfect mix of reality, grit, and eternal optimism. (more…)

Spain Trip

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Jeff McDonough and Jim LaLonde went to Spain over the summer in order to spend some time in another zip code and skate with some friends. These guys have shut down several Bay Area skate spots through out the making of the Focus Group video last year, so they went abroad with the same intentions. With that said, we decided to commission Jim Lalonde to create our first full length video, LETS COME BACK! Trailer to follow soon! Be on the look out, and we thank you for that.

Halloween at Comet

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Well you know that we have been really busy here making skateboards. But its all most trick or treat. But - is it the trick or the treat. Is the trick the treat or the treat the trick. I reckon you might know and tell us. Special thanks goes out to Arlo, Matt, Ira, and the beast.

Hillary Clinton visits with e2e and Comet

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Last Wednesday e2e Materials and Comet Skateboards were invited to meet with Senator Clinton to describe what we do and help her understand the opportunities in central ny for green job creation… Hillary is back full on at her post as a NY state senator and its good to have a person with her knowledge and will working for the people. She is supporting businesses like Comet to achieve our goals in ushering in the next paradigm of design and manufacture. The U.S. is at a true turning point. We can either try to apply old methods to a vastly new world or we can move forward with excitement - like trying a new trick or bombing a hill at 50 mph for the first time. It takes real courage, work, focus, dedication, and an open mind but the pay off is enlightenment and stoke. Pura Vida!
